Terry Hamilton

Terry Hamilton brings over thirty years’ law enforcement experience in Northern and Southern Ontario to his role as an Investigator. His extensive background includes Criminal investigations along with Provincial and Municipal Statute investigations.

Terry graduated with Bachelor of Arts (Honours), from Laurentian University, with a Law and Justice degree in 1988. He also has a Police Leadership Certificate from Rotman School of Management and a Leadership Coaching Certificate from Dalhousie University.

Through his experiences as a Crisis (Hostage) Negotiator and Critical Incident Commander, Terry applied his negotiation and leadership skills to achieve positive resolutions to high-risk incidents. He has over twenty years’ experience as a trained Peer Trauma Responder where he has supported Police and Civilian Members who were experiencing Critical Incident stressors and personal crisis’s such as suicidal thoughts, anxiety, and depression.

Terry is a trained Discrimination and Harassment Respectful Workplace Investigator who has investigated various workplace conflicts. He is also a trained Mediator receiving a Professional Certificate in Alternative Dispute Resolution from Western University. He has attended Human Rights tribunals and assisted in mediating settlements and contract grievances.

Terry is a focused, dedicated, and skilled investigator. He has strong communication skills including active listening and non-verbal communication. His high degree of empathy and compassion are reflected in his investigative manner and mediation techniques.

Terry is a current Member of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Institute of Ontario and Canada. He has served on various Boards such as Victim Services, Child Find and London Baseball Organizations.

Terry and his Wife of 30 years, are avid golfers in their spare time.
